THE ARTISTS

Verve Studio London is a collective of three painters who work independently and exhibit together.

Each of us approaches painting differently, drawing on observation, memory and instinct, but we are united by the idea that a painting is more than an image. It is an object that carries its own history: the time it takes to make, the decisions it records, the attention it asks of the viewer, and the meanings that emerge through repeated looking.

The name Verve speaks to the energy behind that process; the impulse to make something that resists being consumed in passing.
