Verve Studio London brings together three women painters, each with her own way of seeing and a voice that has developed over time. We believe that individual voices become more interesting when they are in conversation with one another.
We have never been united by a particular style, subject, or colour scheme. What brings us together is something less tangible: the confidence that comes from years spent creating, following our instincts, changing course, returning to earlier ideas and, over time, learning to trust our own abilities.
There is a freedom in reaching that stage. The focus shifts from explaining to observing, feeling, and creating work that feels true.
Our paintings are very different and our voices distinctly our own. Yet the heart of Verve is the ongoing dialogue between us and our work, a space where visual contrasts spark fresh perspective, challenging and supporting each of us as our practice continues to evolve.
We don’t try to resolve those differences. They are what brings us together.
